Who Should Manage Jade Cargill?

Evaluating a dozen candidates.

Jade Cargill is the hottest free agent in AEW.

At 5-0, including a buzzworthy debut teaming with Shaq, the former basketball standout has made quite an impact in the women’s division. Hell, she’s had the best run of any newcomer since Dynamite premiered. With her jaw-dropping physique, athletic background and unlimited confidence, Jade Cargill could be the breakout star of the company.

That’s why it’s puzzling that she hasn’t been assigned to one of the many factions in AEW. With seemingly every member of the roster tied to someone or a group, she’s on an island. Not for long, though, because managers, coaches and even an attorney have recently expressed interest in signing Jade Cargill.

Who should she sign with? Let’s run through the potential candidates.

Vickie Guerrero

Having already offered her services to Jade Cargill, Vickie Guerrero would be a good fit. She’s a heat magnet on the mic, currently manages another monster in Nyla Rose and there’s already history between the three of them, dating back to November when Vickie and Nyla prevented anyone from stopping Cargill break Brandi’s arm. To be honest, though, the partnership would benefit Vickie much more – she barely gets any time on Dynamite.

Matt Hardy

Another who wants Jade Cargill under their thumb is “Big Money” Matt Hardy. Now this is an awful choice because Hardy has already illustrated he’s a terrible manager. Not only will he take at least 30% of your earnings, but you won’t end up any better for it. Look at Private Party, if you can find them.

Mark Sterling

MJF’s attorney is also making a plea, but we haven’t seen him alongside MJF in nearly a year, so this dude isn’t relevant.

Don Callis

Since we’ve learned that Don Callis is no longer an executive with Impact Wrestling, he seems like more of a leech than a power broker. Surely, Kenny Omega doesn’t really need the “walking urinal” by his side. Neither does Jade Cargill.

Arn Anderson

How’s this for a swerve? Arn Anderson, Cody’s “coach,” recruiting the woman who embarrassed him and destroyed his wife. Whatever role Double A supposedly serves is hogwash. He’s wasting his golden years in Cody’s corner, clutching a Waffle House menu. We’ve been waiting for the Horseman to betray Rhodes, and now Anderson has his chance.

QT Marshall

On the flip side, Jade Cargill could continue her feud with the Rhodes family by joining The Factory. It makes all the sense in the world for QT Marshall to bring her on board to elevate his faction, while spiting his old friend.

Tully Blanchard

Jade Cargill is the missing ingredient for The Pinnacle. MJF can chase the World Championship with Wardlow as his bodyguard, Shawn Spears can target the TNT Championship, FTR can hunt the Tag Team Titles and Tully Blanchard is the mastermind. Bringing in Cargill to take the Women’s Championship will solidify the group’s dominance of AEW.

Taz

After getting demolished in the feud with Darby Allin and Sting, and with Ricky Starks now on the sidelines, Team Taz needs a shot in the arm. Rather than wasting time on the veteran Christian, Taz should be looking to the future and recruiting Jade Cargill. After all, she’s one spicy tomato, Cole!

Jake Roberts

Of all the guys benefitting from Tony Khan’s generosity, Jake Roberts has to be the biggest charity case. But it’s not his fault – “The Snake” never gets to talk anymore! Why one of the greatest promos in wrestling history has been silenced for a year remains a mystery. Perhaps Lance Archer will cement his face turn by ditching Roberts, allowing the legend to impart his wisdom upon Ms. Cargill.

Christopher Daniels

Neither a manager nor a coach…yet. Now that SCU has officially broken up, Christopher Daniels may finally be hanging up the tights. If so, the “Fallen Angel” could contribute to the sport he loves in another way, by having Cargill sit under his learning tree.

AJ Pan

If you’re a fan of the Northeast indie scene, you’re already salivating at the idea of AJ Pan guiding Jade Cargill in her career. Possibly the most successful manager not on TV, Pan has led the PCA to gold in several promotions, including a stranglehold on the ECWA Heavyweight Championship from 2017-2020. He’s transformed into a modern-day prophet, and I’m sure Cargill wouldn’t turn down some divine intervention.

Salina de la Renta

Here’s my vote. Natalie Class, the artist formerly known as Salina de la Renta, has recently become a free agent after finishing up a red-hot run in MLW. One of the best talkers in the game and still in her early 20s, the diabolical manager is the best long-term investment any promoter can make right now. If Class and Cargill joined forces, the women’s division, no, the whole company, hell, the wrestling world would never be the same.
