Ric Flair Releases 2019 WrestleMania Shirt

The limited-edition T-shirt is available at RicFlairShop.com.

As someone who has attended six WrestleManias (and plans to make the trek up I-95 to MetLife Stadium), I can attest that one of the coolest aspects of the annual, week-long pilgrimage is seeing all of the different wrestling shirts that fans wear. With so many days of events to attend, you need to be fully prepared and don’t want to end up in all your photos wearing the same Bullet Club tee.

Luckily, the Nature Boy has you covered.

Ric Flair has just released a limited-edition 2019 WrestleMania T-shirt that captures the spirit of the Showcase of the Immortals. Available in as many colors as there were NWO members, the shirt is emblazoned with Naitch’s image above this year’s WrestleMania logo. Plus, it says “Bright Lights, Big City,” a frequent refrain in Slick Ric’s legendary promos.

It’s the perfect shirt to wear for WrestleMania Weekend, considering April 7 may end up being the best day of Flair’s life.

It was announced on Monday that his daughter Charlotte would make history at WrestleMania 35, competing in the first all-women’s main event in WrestleMania history. The wrestling world rejoiced at the news – the triple threat between Charlotte, her ex-best friend Becky Lynch and UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey is the most anticipated match on the card, especially after months and months of tension between the three superstars. The stakes were raised even higher after Charlotte defeated Asuka for the SmackDown Women’s Championship last night, a shocking turn of events considering the Raw Women’s Championship is already on the line in the three-way dance at Mania. Perhaps we shouldn’t have been too surprised, though, considering Charlotte handed Asuka her first loss in WWE at last year’s WrestleMania.

If you’ve read Second Nature, Flair and Charlotte’s dual memoir, you know how he takes great pride in his daughter’s accomplishments, including now being an eight-time Women’s Champion. Flair has often said that Charlotte is the greatest female athlete in WWE. That may seem only natural for a father to say, but Naitch is known for his brutal honesty, always wearing his heart on his sequined robe sleeve. Instead of Charlotte living in the shadow of the greatest pro wrestler of all time, these days it seems like the Nature Boy lives vicariously through his uber-talented baby girl.

“She’s built her own brand,” Flair said on The Steve Austin Show in November. “And I’m not saying this because I am proud of her, but I’m saying it because number one she’s that good. Number two, she’s made herself unique. I wish I could tell you I was the athlete in any time of my life that she is. I wasn’t, and very few people are. She’s got a gift, and she’s found her niche.”

Charlotte once again heading into WrestleMania as Women’s Champion is one thing, but main eventing on the Grandest Stage and potentially strutting out as a dual champion is something not even her proud father could have ever imagined. Hell, Flair himself never even closed out the show!

Make sure you pick up the shirt ASAP. I learned what “limited-edition” means the hard way when Raw came to Philly and I didn’t buy the “Road to WrestleMania” shirt featuring Gritty.
