Santa Bahh Came To Town

The Impact Wrestling star headlined Christmas for a Cause.

Santa Bahh came to town last Saturday, led by two adorable elves and probably a sleigh pulled by pandas, bringing goodies to the fine folks of Hillsborough Township, New Jersey.

The Impact Wrestling star headlined Christmas for a Cause, a charity show benefiting Somerset community arts programs and the Arc of Somerset County, which serves over 1,400 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It was a change of pace for Fallah Bahh, as the lovable comedy act went ultraviolent with Danny DeManto, a veteran of the Northeast independent wrestling scene, having competed in Jersey All-Pro, CZW and other local promotions.

They brawled all over the Polish Falcons Nest, bashing each other with chairs, some fan’s crutch and a giant candy cane. Bahh worked up quite the appetite, so he shuffled over to the bar and grabbed a couple hot dogs, one for him and one to shove down DeManto’s throat. Back inside the ring, Bahh hurled DeManto from the second rope onto a chair and a dozen Christmas tree balls.

The momentum shifted as DeManto ducked a charge from Bahh, sending the crowd favorite crashing into the turnbuckle post. As the elves checked on jolly, ol’ St. Bahh, DeManto snapped, grabbing one of the elves and slamming her through a door!

The crowd gasped as the family-friendly atmosphere suddenly got injected with the ECW spirit. DeManto looked to end the night, positioning a guardrail between two chairs and laying Bahh’s lifeless carcass across the steel. As DeManto ascended the turnbuckle, the fans rallied Bahh to his feet, preventing another attack and instead, hitting DeManto with a thunderous Samoan Drop onto the rail for the victory.

After the hysteria died down, DeManto took the microphone and thanked the fans for coming out, praising Bahh for busting his ass to make it to Impact Wrestling. It was a rare, sentimental moment from the “Cold Hearted Playa,” who announced that was his last match in New Jersey. He’ll be hanging up the boots after his last bout with Amazing Red on December 28 at ICW in Queens, New York.

“Danny, it’s an honor to host this,” Colin West, promoter of Christmas for a Cause, wrote on Facebook. “One of the best-kept secrets of your career is how much you’ve done for charity without wanting any credit. You helped legitimize my charity shows when other people ‘didn’t have time’.”

DeManto is also the co-owner of Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), which he’ll be putting 100% of his attention toward now that he is retiring from active competition. Since he and Brett Lauderdale took over the former Jersey Championship Wrestling in 2015, they’ve rebranded the regional operation into the premiere hardcore/deathmatch promotion in the United States. In addition, they’ve handed the reigns over to some of their most popular wrestlers such as Joey Janela, Matt Riddle and Nick Gage, building wildly successful events around their image like Joey Janela’s Spring Break. Now that Demanto will no longer have to split his time between wrestler and booker, one can only imagine what heights GCW will ascend to in 2019 and beyond.
