Empty Your Wallet For The Spoiled Brats

Tag team wrestling has never looked so good.

Aria Blake and Salina de la Renta are not only the hottest rising managers in pro wrestling; they’re also your daddy’s favorite wrestlers.

It’s quite common for men to work their 9-to-5 shifts and at the end of the work week, they take their paycheck and spend it on MLW’s beauties. Either by shopping their Amazon wishlists, purchasing their merch or simply sending a tribute to the Florida goddesses, red blooded males simply can’t resist the wet dream team.

Don’t be jealous – it’s just the way it is. After all, they’re The Spoiled Brats.

“I’m just myself. What you see is me with the volume turned up,” Blake says. “I’ve just grown up spoiled and it’s been a nice life.”

On the surface, it appears to be financial domination (findom), a kinky subculture where men get sexual satisfaction by paying dominatrices. However, Blake and de la Renta aren’t bossing anybody around – they’re quite appreciative of their adoring fans.

“We’re kind of sugar babies, but we don’t have sugar daddies,” de la Renta says. “Aria is in a beautiful relationship and I’m in a beautiful relationship with my phone. It’s just two pretty girls who like to get spoiled. If you’re a person who likes spoiling girls, which is most of the people, then hey, we’re here, spoil us.”

While The Spoiled Brats concept was strategically developed, their partnership was organic. Blake has a year of experience on de la Renta, and even faced her now BFF in de la Renta’s first match. At the time, they were cordial and professional to each other, but nothing more. Then one night, de la Renta was asked if she’d like to team with Blake or another wrestler, and she chose the girl she was most familiar with.

“We did not have a gimmick, but we came out to my song and were both wearing Pokemon shirts,” de la Renta recalls. “We started yelling at people and reacting to each other. She was saying stuff that would make me laugh, and I was saying stuff that would genuinely make her laugh as well. Our friendship was born in the ring.”

As two rookies on the crowded independent scene, the ladies realized they needed to find a way to stand out. In the modern era of women’s wrestling, with an abundance of talent being showcased in all-female promotions, a team of women simply wasn’t the attraction it was back in the day.

“When we sat down and talked about it, we needed to make sure it’s something that would get a reaction and make us a lot of money,” de la Renta says. “Well, there are no sugar babies in this business, at least publicly, so let’s go with that. It could come bite us in the butt later, but we have nothing to lose right now.”

At the risk of appearing conceited and alienating fans as well as colleagues, The Spoiled Brats flooded social media (Blake has a degree in mass communications) with breathtaking, professionally shot photos, flaunting their immaculate bodies and appealing to man’s carnal desires. They became merchandising machines, selling everything from apparel and ring gear to 8x10s and calendars. Most recently, they were recruited by Cameo, a service in which you pay for recorded birthday wishes, shout outs and other voice messages.

“It’s basically a relationship,” de la Renta says. “We even share bills and a PayPal account.”

Their mutual hustle has been life-saving this past year as both women have been sidelined: Blake suffered a shoulder injury, and de la Renta not only tore her ACL and meniscus, but also displaced her bucket handle. A benefit show for de la Renta’s surgery is being held this Friday in Port Richey, Florida. A GoFundMe page has also been set up to contribute toward the $10,000 procedure.

Although they’re unable to compete in the ring, they continue to make appearances throughout the country, either managing, ring announcing or commentating. Honestly, their fans don’t care what they’re doing as long as they get to see them in the flesh.

“We got these really awesome holographic alien backpacks from one of the biggest Spoiled Brats fans, Juan from South Florida,” Blake says. “He brings us gifts when we see him. I bring mine everywhere because I don’t like purses. Someone recently got me a pink electric tea kettle, which is really cute and convenient and I use it a lot. Those are my favorites, and then all the Funkos I get are really great.”

Meanwhile, de la Renta is still shocked about the gift she received for her 21st birthday this year: a Prada bag. “I was asked what kind of bag I want for my birthday, and I said honestly, just get me what you want cause I have really expensive taste,” she says. “I was freaking out when I got it. I was like, oh my gosh!”

It’s not all about the price tag, though. De la Renta truly values the arts and crafts she has received, too. “William in South Florida actually made something to put on my merch table: It’s a 3-D sign that lights up with a picture of me. I can just see the amount of work he put into it. I actually have it in my room,” she says.

When asked if she’s surprised by the adoration and generosity, Blake is quick to say no. “I get it. I mean, I would buy me presents, too.”

As their popularity soars due to MLW’s new television deal with beIN Sports, it’s just a matter of time before more fans fall under their spell. If you’re looking to take the plunge and spoil the brats, Blake prefers anything beauty related and de la Renta enjoys Starbucks gift cards.
