Madness in Manville at Synergy Wrestling

A puddle of blood soaked the ring due to Brandon Kirk.

As predicted, blood was spilled at Synergy Pro Wrestling: “The Fight Boys” on Saturday, leaving the Manville crowd stunned to silence.

Fresh off a victory over Matt Tremont at CZW Proving Grounds, Brandon Kirk had his sights set on destroying another veteran: Steve “Monsta” Mack. As soon as the bell rang, Kirk spat in Mack’s face, prompting the bruiser to stalk Kirk around the ring. When he finally got close, Kirk swung a kendo stick, causing a disqualification.

Obviously, the crowd wasn’t having that, so Synergy creative director Colin West restarted the match as a Manville Street Fight. They brawled all over the Elks Lodge, blasting each other with chairs, a trash can and that damn stick. Back inside the ring, Mack unloaded his arsenal, hitting the disrespectful upstart with a bone-crushing German suplex, a running dropkick and a hurricanrana. As he ascended the turnbuckle to end the match, Kirk moved out of the way at the last second, leaving Mack to crash through two chairs. A shining wizard then finished off Mack.

Afterward, Kirk demanded ring announcer Scott Sariti interview him about his victory. As Sariti sheepishly entered the ring and posed a question, Kirk walloped him in the head with the kendo stick. Referees ran out to help Sariti out of the ring, but Kirk refused to stop the punishment unless West granted him any match of his choice. Reluctantly, West agreed and Sariti was taken to the back for medical attention, leaving a puddle of blood in the ring.

The carnage continued into the main event as Frightmare battled “Dragonborn” Drake Chambers in a brutal Dog Collar Chain match. Both combatants utilized the chain in a variety of ways, slamming each other on top, ripping each other’s flesh with countless whips and choking each other from pillar to post. Frightmare managed to slay the dragon after a Kneecolepsy knocked the wind out of Chambers.

In tournament action, Matt Macintosh and Tremont engaged in some amateur wrestling, a departure from The Bulldozer’s hardcore antics. Embarrassed that Tremont could hang on the mat, Macintosh threw a punch, leading to a brawl into the crowd. Eventually, “The Bad Apple” caught Tremont’s leg, smashing it into the ring post. He continued to target the big man’s leg until, out of desperation, Tremont scooped him up for a Death Valley Driver and the win.

The stage has now been set for May 26, when Tremont will face KTB (who mauled Stevie Shields) in the finals of the Synergy Championship tournament. Speaking of Shields, he expressed his frustration with losing the championship opportunity, and issued an open challenge to anyone in the wrestling world. The crowd erupted as Impact Wrestling favorite Fallah Bahh answered the challenge via video, announcing his Synergy debut for May 26. Also debuting at that event will be Ring of Honor star Leon St. Giovanni.

After winning a triple threat against Tyler Nitro and Joey Adams, Mike Del has earned a title shot against Jersey All Pro Wrestling Light Heavyweight Champion Archadia on May 26, as well.
