Get Naomi On ‘Dancing With The Stars’

The former SmackDown’s Women Champion was interviewed by Landon Buford of The Hype Magazine.

The golden rule in pro wrestling is if something draws, you do it again.

On Monday, we posted a previously published interview from Landon Buford of The Hype Magazine. Not only did it draw great views, but Buford has been gracious enough to share another interview with us.

After winning the controversial Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34, Naomi looks to build a streak when she enters another battle royal this Sunday at WWE Evolution.

The following interview has been edited and condensed. You can read the full feature at The Hype Magazine.

Landon Buford: Melina was recently interviewed by “Ring The Belle” and she stated that your eagerness, desire to be a good person and your creativity would allow you both to have a great match. When you hear that from someone as decorated as Melina, what does that mean to you?

Naomi: “Life moves so fast I never stop to pat myself on the back, so it’s very uplifting to hear those words from someone I admire so much.”

LB: There are rumors that WWE will be implementing Women’s Tag Team Championships at Evolution. What are your thoughts?

N: “I’m so ready for it. Tag teaming is so exciting, and it’ll be great for the division because it will give us another championship to fight for, which we need. Being married to a tag team specialist and, in my opinion, one of the best to ever do it, I will have all the coaching and guidance I need to be the first to hold those titles.”

LB: If you can pick a tag team partner on SmackDown or Raw, who would it be?

N: “Asuka! We have a lot in common surprisingly, and she’s just badass inside that ring. Point blank, period. There are no holes in her game. If there is anyone I could learn from, grow with and dominate with, it’s her.”

LB: What was it like winning the Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania?

N: “It’s hard to put in words all the feels and emotions. It felt like I won the lottery (laughs). My name is now cemented in WWE history! Years from now when I’m long gone, and there’s many more Women’s WrestleMania Battle Royals, people will remember the first and think of me. It’s all very special to me.”

LB: If you could have one more match with Paige, what would it be?

N: “Gosh! I had such great chemistry with Paige, and I really miss her in the ring. Honestly, any match any stipulation would be cool. Stepping in the ring once again with such a great competitor and have her “SCREAM” once more would be one in the books for me.”

LB: Can you talk about Ronda Rousey’s progression thus far?

N: “She’s a natural. She’s accomplished so much for women as well and is still breaking down barriers! Nothing but respect for Ronda.”

LB: Lana, Carmella, Charlotte and yourself have all showcased your dance moves on SmackDown. Have you thought about possibly asking for more dance sessions in the show and would you ever consider doing “Dancing with the Stars?”

N: “I’m always down for a good dance segment on the show. It’s always fun and entertaining. Being on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ is a dream of mine. I think it would be a good challenge because although I have a dance background, I have no experience in ballroom dancing. I would also like to see if I could do as good, if not better, than my girl Nikki Bella.”
