10 Feuds I Want to See in 2018

AJ Styles has plenty of fresh opponents left in WWE.

How many times have you thought to yourself that you could do a better job booking matches than WWE can?

I know I have said it countless times. Today, we’re here to play a little fantasy booking. I’m going to give you the ten feuds that I want to see in 2018. Even though all of these should happen, some of them obviously won’t for one reason or another.

10. Charlotte vs. Ronda Rousey

This would be a little higher on the list if we knew what kind of a wrestler Rousey was. She should be good, but we don’t know for certain. (Mongo McMichael, anyone?) Can’t imagine this feud not happening.

9. Brock Lesnar vs. The Unemployment Line

I’ve made my opinion of Brock Lesnar very clear in a previous piece. Time for Brock to hit the ol’ dusty trail. Get the hell outta here! Beat it! Leave me alone!

8. Bobby Roode vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Roode would need a turn for this one, but honestly, the Glorious One should have been a heel from the jump. He is just more natural that way. These two put on a couple of quality matches in NXT and I have no doubt they would up their game if they went at it again.

7. Samoa Joe vs. John Cena

I know, I know, putting John Cena on this list is going to rub some people the wrong way. (Cough, cough…Corrigan). The fact of the matter is this: when Cena is around he is still a good draw, and he has actually improved his in-ring ability in the last few years. He and Joe would have a great feud, especially having trained together when breaking into the business. It would work better as a best-out-of-three type deal or a WrestleMania match, but I don’t anticipate that for New Orleans.

6. Miz vs. Seth Rollins

This is for when Reigns inevitably moves on to Lesnar for their WrestleMania program. (Side note: Attention WWE…Please, please, please do not have Roman Reigns win the Royal Rumble again. It looks like that’s what you are going to do…just don’t. I am one of the bigger Reigns fans out there, but you are asking for him to get mercilessly booed again. Do you not remember what happened in Philly last time? Use your heads!) Ok, sorry, back to this. Miz is the best on the mic right now in WWE, just a tremendous heel. With Reigns preparing for Lesnar and Ambrose on the shelf, Rollins fits right into a beef with Miz.

5. Sasha Banks vs. Bayley

This should have happened months ago – maybe it would have had Bayley not gotten hurt. We were so close when Sasha was getting involved in Bayley’s matches with Charlotte. We’ve all wanted a Sasha heel turn, so let’s make it happen. She’s a decent face, but a great heel. You could have this feud last for a long time, and it doesn’t even have to be for a title. We already saw what kind of chemistry they have at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn, so let’s recreate that magic.

4. AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Looks like we’re getting this one as long as WWE doesn’t throw a wrench into the plans at Fastlane. While Shinsuke is one of the more entertaining superstars in WWE, WWE hasn’t gotten the most out of him. Who better to bring the best out of Nakamura than AJ Styles? Let’s get a rematch of Wrestle Kingdom 10 for WrestleMania.

3. Miz vs. AJ Styles

Now this would be the first feud that we would need the Superstar Shakeup for. After his incredible run these past couple years, Miz deserves another WWE Championship push. He is the most must see WWE Champion of all time, after all. He’d have terrific matches with Styles.

2. Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles

Three Styles feuds in a row? Well, he is the best in the business for a reason. I absolutely could have made a list of 10 feuds I want to see Styles in. Again we would need the Superstar Shakeup here, preferably with Rollins going over to Smackdown. These guys are two of the top three in-ring performers in WWE right now. Both superstars are insanely popular, which would make this even better. The crowd would be torn on who to root for and you could easily make either one the heel. This would definitely have 5-star potential.

1. The Shield vs. The Club

Come on now…this writes itself! Now, I am not talking about this nonsense that they tried to pull with the watered down Shield. I’m talking about the real Shield – Jason Jordan needs to be as far away from this as possible. It’s time for the Hounds of Justice and The Club to face off to see which is the most dominant stable in WWE.

Obviously, the big problem here is that Ambrose will be out for close to nine months rehabbing a triceps injury. So the potential for a feud has been dealt a big blow. This was a foregone conclusion had Ambrose not gotten hurt, but now there is no guarantee that this will happen at all. You never know what the Superstar Shakeup will bring, but I think it’s safe to assume that at least one of these men will be on Smackdown by the time Ambrose returns.

The WWE has caught several bad breaks with this Shield “reunion,” it’s just been a mess. Imagine if after Reigns defeats Lesnar at Mania, Rollins and Ambrose emerge to dismantle The Beast, and put the final nail in his coffin. The next night on Raw, the Shield cut a promo about how they are the baddest men in WWE, only to be confronted by The Club to the tune of a gigantic pop from the crowd. Unfortunately, for the time being anyway, we will just have to keep dreaming about this one.
