Best of House of Hardcore on Twitch

Don’t miss these highlights before the past episodes are taken down.

If you haven’t’ caught up on the weekly House of Hardcore show on Twitch, hurry up.

HOH Owner Tommy Dreamer recently announced that all past episodes will be wiped away starting Feb. 28. From now on, you’ll only have a week to watch the latest episode before it disappears from the Twitch page.

There are 16 episodes available with an average runtime of 30 minutes, so binging is very doable. But if you don’t have time and just want to watch the best parts, here’s a handy guide of what you need to see before it’s gone forever.

Killer Kross’ promos (Episodes 7-12)

Nobody has maximized his minutes better than Killer Kross. A relative newcomer to the industry, The Herald of Doomsday has already mastered the art of the promo. Whether sitting in a hotel room, leaning against a garage door or cloaked in darkness, Kross has made his sinister intentions known, particularly regarding Little Guido. Shot in black and white and interspersed with archive footage of him mauling victims, Kross has emerged as the most intimidating man in HOH, if not the entire wrestling world.

Referee Ryan’s Real Story (Episodes 9-10)

Ryan Torok was diagnosed with leukemia at 4 years old. The HOH referee (now 30) shares how Tommy Dreamer and pro wrestling inspired his fight against cancer. Donations are encouraged to The Valerie Fund, a charitable effort that saved his life.

Sami Callihan vs. Penta El Zero M (Episode 10)

Digging into the vault of classic matches is my favorite part of HOH’s weekly Twitch series. Even though I witnessed this battle in person at the 2300 Arena, I was glad to relive it a few months later. Two of the most vicious competitors on the indie scene waged a hellacious war that ECW diehards would be proud of.

Crazzy Steve’s Real Story (Episodes 8, 10-12)

Despite wrestling for TNA for a few years, including being involved in a high-profile storyline with the Hardyz, Crazzy Steve’s blindness had never been common knowledge. That’s right, this extremely skilled pro wrestler can’t even see. In a series of vignettes, Steve shared his incredible story of dealing with this adversity as a child and how he overcame the odds to break into the business.

Dirty Laundry (Episode 10)

Sporting a blood-stained shirt, Dreamer aired his grievances regarding former friend Joey Mercury, who stabbed his mentor in the back during his return to HOH. As Dreamer does so well, he blended reality with storyline, reminiscing on all the times he helped Mercury behind the scenes to advance his career. He also blamed Mercury’s well-documented personal demons for ruining his opportunities. Mercury made things personal, and Dreamer chillingly reciprocates.

The Young Bucks vs. Paul London & Brian Kendrick (Episode 5)

At the inaugural HOH event in 2012, these two teams set the standard for what fans could expect over the next six years and beyond. This match took place almost exactly one year before The Young Bucks joined The Bullet Club and their popularity skyrocketed. On the other hand, London and Kendrick had been out of WWE for about three years at this point, so the stars had aligned for this exhilarating dream match.

MJF & Alex Reynolds’ Friendship

There isn’t a specific episode to catch the chemistry of these two sniveling jerks – they’re a weekly highlight. From mocking Crazzy Steve to pissing on the ECW mural, MJF and Alex Reynolds hold nothing sacred. Although more recent episodes indicate tension in the ranks, you never know if it’s simply a swerve for Reynolds to advance in the Twitch TV Title tournament.
