Eat. Sleep. Conquer. Repeat.

It’s time for Brock Lesnar to step away from WWE.

Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Anthony Mahalis. I am here to tell you why it is time for the REIGNING, DEFENDING, UNDISPUTED, UNIVERSAL CHAMPION – BROCK LESNAR – to get lost.

Yes, I realize this will not be a popular opinion, but it needs to be said. I hope Lesnar’s time with World Wrestling Entertainment is over soon. Like every other wrestling fan, I was ecstatic when Lesnar made his WWE return in 2012. However, over the last year or so, I have grown tired of his act. Every Brock Lesnar match, aside from one against Goldberg at Survivor Series 2016, just feels like a foregone conclusion. What fun is that? What good is it to have a Universal Champion that is never around?

If he wasn’t the champ, I would have less of an issue with him, but such is life.

Seriously, think about Lesnar’s last few singles matches. He had an entertaining match with AJ Styles at Survivor Series. There is no doubt about that. Before that, though, we have problems. Samoa Joe vs. Brock Lesnar: that was a dream match for a lot of people. Joe was a force to be reckoned with, right? Wrong. The actual match itself lasted roughly seven minutes. Joe basically controlled the match, only to be thwarted by one F-5.

Strowman was red hot when he met Lesnar for the Universal Title at No Mercy. He had been dominating Lesnar for weeks, throwing him around like a rag doll. If there was ever a time to put Braun over, it was then. So what happened? Well, Strowman essentially manhandled Lesnar for the duration of the match. Then Strowman hit Lesnar with a chokeslam and three running powerslams, only for Brock to kick out. Lesnar then hit one F-5, a terrible one I might add, and it was game over. The match was approximately nine minutes.

So let me get this straight: Braun Strowman is in a violent collision between an ambulance and a truck, attempted homicide you might say, and walks away from the scene unscathed. Braun Strowman is also in a nine minute match with Brock Lesnar, and can’t withstand ONE F-5? Yeah, that checks out.

What a disgrace.

Lesnar will more than likely have another title defense at the Royal Rumble. Which WWE Superstar will have their momentum halted there? How about Finn Balor this time? Why not? He has already lost cleanly to Kane. Let’s make sure he gets squashed. Maybe, Lesnar can beat Strowman again and further delegitimize the Monster Among Men.

Call me crazy, but I am just over Brock Lesnar. If his contract is up around WrestleMania, it would be a good thing for there to be a parting of ways, at least for a little while. Guys like Balor, Strowman, and Samoa Joe bust their asses every night. Let them get some Universal Title runs.

Someone check on Corrigan…he may have fainted reading this. I know he does not appreciate blaspheming in the Church of Lesnar.
